13th Annual General Meeting for 2003

The AGM was held on the 22nd November during the IFMH Study Day and we are grateful for members sacrificing some of their lunch hour to attend. The AGM approved the Minutes of the 11th and 12th AGMs, and accepted the Committee’s report and the Financial Report for 2003. The 2004 AGM will be held during 2005 and the date will be announced in due course.

"Quality research-based information and the new public health agenda" Study Day, 22nd November 2004

With IFMH’s usual impeccable timing our Autumn Study Day was held the week following the release of the public health white paper, Choosing health: making healthier choices easier. 49 participants attended and we received many favourable comments on the content and the opportunity for a timely overview of the public health agenda. The Committee is very grateful for the unstinting efforts of Joint Study Day Coordinators, Susan Mottram and Heather Williamson, in organising the day, and for Jackie Bentinck’s input for local organisation. The Committee is very pleased to receive comments such as: "IFMH always put on an informative study day". We hope to maintain these expectations and standards during 2005.

The Study Day programme and PowerPoint presentations for the day can be viewed on the IFMH website at http://www.ifmh.org.uk/studyday1104.htm.
